Word on the street is that Shannahan likes Bradford better. What makes you think he would choose Clausen over Bradford if both were available at 4?

The Redskins could pick as high as No. 5. One player they are likely looking at is Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford, who was projected to be the No. 1 pick last season before he decided to go back to school. According to Scouts, Inc.'s Todd McShay's mock draft, the Redskins will nab Bradford with the No. 7 pick. Also available at the top of the first round is Jimmy Clausen. At the top of the second round, they may also have a shot at Tony Pike.

Keep in mind I'm not saying you're wrong. You could very well be right but right now all arrows are pointing towards the team targeting Bradford.
