He's been on a downward spiral since elway retired. To his credit, his offense were always good and he's been researching the NFLs successful franchises during this past year. IMO shanahan won't succeed here unless he sticks to coaching his side of the ball and entrusts the defense to an agressive defensive coordinator. Shanahan's defenses have been very poor historically, otherwise he would still be coaching in denver.
