Understandable, but what about surrounding yourself with good people? Gibbs had Bugel and Williams in his second stint, both of whom had HC experience. I don't exactly see anyone banging down his door right now to co-ordinate their defense. Taking a reduced role might be a good thing for him rather than taking a year or so off. Then again, he might just land that head coaching job in the college ranks that he has been looking for. Tennessee maybe? I know that he really wants to coach the Huskies though.
