Not only his duty to get them ready but to be able to pick out the talent. It's all nice that McCardell went to summer camp with the Giants and I hope they taught him a lot, and I agree anyone should be better then Hixon since he has not shown he is qualified after 6 yrs or more but instead of going after a bonified, qualified, NFL WR coach who has proven himself in the NFL ranks...... we pick up an Ex-player? I'm not saying he doesn't know what he's doing as a player cause I think he was one of hte best players and even lobbied for us to pick him up when he was available but just because he is over qualified as a player does not mean he is a qualified person to be teaching other WR's. There is a lot more to the job then simply building a work out routine and making sure the players are keeping up with it. There is the issue of being able to spot talent in the college ranks and knowing if said talent will work in the scheme your running. Then there is the whole issue of being able to teach.... or get the information across to the players.

I hope he come in and is an awsome WR coach. I hope he is able to give DT, MK, and MM the tools to get better. But the pick just doesn't give me the warm fuzzy feeling knowing we have someone in this position who has a great track record at coaching and developing WR talent.
