Agreed. McCardell is a high-character guy who played the game at a high level. He was a very polished WR for a long time. Clearly he enjoys teaching now that he can no longer play. I like the hire a lot actually.

Hey, it's not like we hired a head coach who had never been anything but a quarterback's coach.

What I think I like best about McCardell coming in is he played for a long time and obviously had to change his game over time to harness experience running routes/creating separation over pure physical ability (as a younger WR). He should be a wealth of knowledge for our younger guys...I like this move more and more.

...oh yeah and he's NOT Stan Hixon
