Saying he is the leader of the defense is a little subjective and frankly I agree with someone who said earlier that this leadership talk is a little overrated.
Players understand the business side of things, and I think it was Pierce who said that the guys on defense are used to the constant changes.
I love Smoot and the way he plays with such heart, but should we pay him top 5 corner type of money just for the sake of holding on to a 'leader'?
