It did include the 2nd rounder...

Lets say they moved up on a trade with the skins for JC plus the first. That solves the qb issue, SF could take that first and draft Okung. However if they did an analysis and felt that Berry is the type of talent that many are saying A-la Ed Reed type of talent then I would say yeah, take him- why? because he would solidfy my secondary for years to come.

Well, I don't think JC gets thrown in that deal because we would definitely be drafting a project qb, but SF has a need at DE, and would take Carter in a heartbeat.

Before we get too down on "weird" scenarios, let's remember that odd things happen every draft: the Vikings missing their turn, Rivers and Manning swapping coasts, players free-falling, etc.

Come on be real why would they take a 30 year old DE in a heartbeat ?when they can take a young DE like PIERRE-PAUL (which somehow is still in the board), Morgan or even Kindle with either the 13 or 17 pick.... it's to high this move to be real it works for Washington but it sure doesn't work for SF...

because they are getting the 4th pick overall which with Berry and Carter would solidify their D and bring a solid vet that whose work ethic Singletary would love. but enough on that, it's a mock, for fun, and everyone is making best pick for their team in their opinion. None of us were paid 1 million dollars to do this for a living last I checked.

the issue i have with the trade is that both GMs did what was best for the redskins in that trade, without realistically considering what would be in the best interests of the 49ers. now that i've said that, watch this exact scenario play out on draft day.

The trade was within the draft pick value chart, with the 49ers paying a slight premium to move up. If Berry turns out to be an Ed Reed clone, the 49er fans will be happy with that move.

What's done is done.

i didn't question the value of the picks exchanged... just the rationale for the move. makes 0 sense from a 49ers perspective. but then, this is a redskins fan forum, so i guess we can't expect impartiality.
