Re: Give Colt Brennan a shot with the 1st team offense in 2010
I'm glad he's 100% and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.

[QUOTE=53Fan;676929]I'm glad he's 100% and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.[/QUOTE IMO Colt Brennan is good where he is!!! The bench is the best place for this guy!! Rex Grossman and the bears took advantage of a weak schedule that year enroute to the SuperBowl.Rex is better than Colt because he has a year in the system.Rex might be better anyway the skins dont need to draft Sam Bradford or Jimmy Clausen Campbell is the future so they need to focus on that!!!

I was actually expecting to see Colt traded for a late round pick to a team like Denver,AZ or KC. Lets just see how the QB position plays out. I do not want to see the Skins go QB with the 4th. IMO this would be a huge mistake.

Re: Give Colt Brennan a shot with the 1st team offense in 2010
I for one think that Brennan will at least get a chance to prove himself one way or the other this year. I hope that Shanahan lets him play the game the way he has always played it. In this I mean don't worry about Brennan's mechanics. If he goes out in preseason and in practice and produces better than the others he is in. If not he's out. I think Brennan has more natural football instinct than Campbell. As far as side arm passers their have been some great ones. It may present problems sometimes with the taller lines but it's also good on the run.Which if we don't go with line early in the draft they will be during a lot of running. Brennan's release probably has Campbell's beat by about 10 secs (joke). Zorn was a likable interview guy period. He bought up (1) (decent) quarterback in his time. I thought he was far from the end all be all of quarterback knowledge. I wish he had of left Brennan alone. "Run these plays. Execute them the way you feel more comfortable". Again if you can't produce your out. Who knows what Brennan will do but he does have talent and moxie. He deserves a real (chance).
I love Campbell as a person. A real old school stand up type guy. Never runs his mouth. First one in last one out of practices. Just goes in to do his job no matter what happens. I can see why Gibbs drafted him. I was hoping so much he would do well. He is just not a great quarterback. And yes I have heard all the excuses for this. I think only having a "Hogg" type line or moving him to another team will ever determine if he's a decent quarterback. Does not have very good accuracy. Slow delivery. Questionable instincts. I had always heard he had a strong arm but I always saw him under throwing the long passes. Mark Rypien had accuracy problems at first but at least he overthrew the receivers by twenty yards. Less chance of interception. I guess I cant blame him too much on this but he was like a deer in head lights every time he dropped back. I wish him well but I still don't think he is a good long term answer. Grossman has more upside than Collins. He is a gunslinger of sorts. Just not as talented as a Favre or Romo. He has upside because he can can put up some numbers (positive and negative). He comes from the Bears who's offensive schemes over the years have made all of their quarterbacks look bad. He might be a good stop gap. Collins was a system quarteback at best. |

I know it's not a productive thing to say, but this thread is totally retarded. Colt will be lucky if he's even on the 53 man roster. Campbell isn't going anywhere, we just signed Grossman, and we'll probably draft a QB as well. All the Cult folks need to get over it.

I wouldn't be surprised either way. At least it will be someone with a little more football knowledge than Zorn that lets him go. I could buy it. Thx for the welcome Back Row and thx for the prayers.
