Flash Mob?
Tell me what's this all about? This is the second one that I've seen published in a paper. Perhaps they can stage a flash mob in the House or Senate? Hell have one during the State of the Union.

Re: Flash Mob?
This has been an ongoing problem here in Philly. Some knucklehead kids get on facebook and create an "event" noting a time and location, and everyone invites friends through facebook. Before you know it they get 50, 100, 200, 500 kids. They vandalize property, disrupt traffic, and assault people.
The police are getting hip to it though, they're watching facebook to stop it. They got to this one before it got too out of hand.

Re: Flash Mob?
I was studying in the Library @ UMD last semester for finals. There was a flashmob scheduled @ the student union. When the cops caught onto it... everyone went into the Library.
It was absolute chaos. I was trying to print something out and all of a sudden kids just start running in the library dancing, throwing streamers everywhere, chanting "Jose!, Jose Jose Jose!.... Joooose!, jose!...etc,etc,".. it was madness. Cops started yelling at me and chasing me and I tried in vain to convince them I was just trying to study. They eventually believed me, kicked everyone else out, and wouldn't let anyone in the library for over an hour. Ended up being pretty ironic, because I left my house so I could be free from distractions.

Re: Flash Mob?
My freshman year of college we had a full campus snowball fight and a pre-finals midnight breakfast food fight in the dinning hall WITHOUT the benefit of Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, texting, etc. Kids today have it too damn easy.
But why did the Philly mods start attacking random people? Oh, wait, it's Philly...

Nah, people in Philly were uncivilized way before the Rocky movies.
