Hypothetically in a traditional 3-4 Haynesworth would be playing gap control and literally trying to hold up offensive lineman at the LOS. In his 4-3 role he gets to run up field and try to create havoc in the backfield. Obviously he draws double teams in both situations but in the 4-3 he get's to be a playmaker. In the 3-4 as a gap control NT he's an offensive lineman playing defense.

Thats not to say they couldn't put him at nose and allow him to get up field but I think Haynesworth biggest worry is playing gap control.

This sounds right. Blache was a huge gap control guy and it just doesn't jive w/ what Al does best.

I think putting him at RDE in the 3-4 could be really fascinating. At least part of the time he'll see doubles from tackle/TE instead of G/C...that should make him that much more dominant. He's so strong too he can just bull rush the poor bastards back toward the QB from the edge. Basically he can contain and put pressure on the QB simultaneously. If we have solid performance from whoever plays NT and LDE it will be a wicked front.

typical. God I am really sick of Lavar. Little baby finding every which way to pick a bone with the Skins.

This the way I see 106.7's main weekday programs.

Junkies: Entertaining and hilarious
Wise:Quality programing without bias
Lavar and Dukes:Sour idiot rambling and jock holding sidekick
Holdin: Who?

Seriously Lavar makes Bmitch seems rational and unbias lol.

Kinda amusing to hear LaVar giving someone advice on how to handle himself with the team/coaches.

Lavar def has his issues. However it's not everyday you hear a professional football player who just got 40 mil in his pocket come out and say he really wasn't in shape. So although Lavar is soup grapes he was spot on the other day. Lavar isn't the only person in the media that's commented on AH's conditioning.

Isn't that a classic athletic line? Unless an athlete is training 16 hours a day, couldn't they always be in better shape?

"In shape" is a relative term. When is a 320-360 pound man going to be "in shape"?

He was in better shape than Wilfork.

His fat ass came in here last year out of shape. If anything he should be trying to get all the work he can get. I'm tired of us signing these high profile players that come here and don't earn their money. Out of the all the people on our roster he's the main one that should be attending offseason workouts.
