I think they strongly expect Farve to come back. It will take a horrible year or a Super Bowl Victory for Farve to retire at this point and I believe the confidence in Farve coming back is part of the reason they're so calm about everything right now like "yeah take as much time as you need Brett." If they felt he was going to retire I would expect the tone to be different.
