Ok, here are the stats, Portis is better in the following categories: Yards per carry, yards per game, double digit TD seasons, over 1,200 yard seasons, 20+ yard carries, 40+ yard carries, 3 times as many receiving yards, and a WAY higher passer rating (lol).

Both have 2 pro-bowls, but CPs last one is more recent.

People are silly. They think of "Fast Willie" and grin, talking about how he should take CP's place when Portis is better in every statistical category that matters. Think about it. Willie's best season was 1,494 yards in 2006. Portis had 1,487 in 2008 with a crappy o-line. He's also got 3 seasons in the 1,500s... so to me there is no comparison. AND HE'S A YEAR YOUNGER THAN WILLIE!?!?!?

Who said anything about WP taking CPs place? This is a head scratcher signing for me, but I didn't see anyone saying what you are accusing "people" of saying. Take the CP tinted glasses off bro, I think this move will make him better.
