You can't look at it that way. What we've done is immediately improved our QB situation and given ourselves MAJOR bargaining options. We can always renegotiate McNabb's contract for another 3 years if we want to keep him, trade him if not.

McNabb is a major improvement over JC. Just look at the TD% vs. INT % stats, his mobility and pocket presence is much better than JCs. His running game has been non-existent and prior to last year his receiving corps has been below average. He's also a well respected veteran QB.
