Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 5)
i agree with tryfhul - this is the sort of stuff i love seeing, SmootSmack. i'd rather read your rumors than anyone elses. I don't really have an opinion on Colon, but the Steelers offense couldnt be any more dissimilar from ours. Add to that the fact that their line really hasnt been that good, and I dont know how i feel about it. I'm not sure if Colon was part of the problem in Pittsburg or the one shining spot, but if theyre eager to move him, its not a good sign.
Rogers may have bad hands, but he's a heck of a corner otherwise. if we did the trade, i'd expect them to throw something else in to sweeten the pot. An above average starting cornerback >> a servicable RT.

We inquired about both Marcus McNeill and Jermon Bushrod but both seem to have fallen by the wayside. Focus looks to now be on Brown and Colon. Some say Donald Penn as well, but I'm not so sure about that one. Hypothetical. If Berry slips to us at 4, would you trade Landry for Brown and draft Berry? Or would you rather hold onto Landry and draft Okung?

Isn't today the deadline for RFAs to sign the tender offer? If not today, isn't this coming up soon?

Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 5)
Tomorrow is the last day that RFA's can sign offers from other teams. They are free not to sign their teams tender until the 10th week of the season. If they don't sign by then, they cannot play this year. Some other penalties apply for waiting.
Redskins Insider - What happens if Rogers, McIntosh don't sign tenders?

Right, this is the last day they can sign an offer sheet from another team. Up until today they could have in a sense dictated where they would play next year. Now the Redskins hold the power

I don't get all the hype surround the RFA contracts being signed at the last minute. If anything it seems like nothing more then a formality.

Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 5)
I was referring to someone saying that we should get Otogwe. If he signs the tender then he's in contract with the Rams, that would mean that he would be only available via a trade, correct?

Brown/Iupati/Rabach/Hicks/Colon Actually, if i had more time to think about it, i'd probably come up with something different and much crazier.
