No, he said the Skins were trying to trade AH - and the insinuation from JLC was always that it was the Skins who were initiating the discussions and/or seeking a trade patnter. Instead, the Skins didn't initiate discussions and rather, as Smoot said, were simply picking up the phone and listening to other teams talk. JLC reports were at best speculation being reported as fact based information and at worst intentionally disengenous.
