No doubt. Spotty goaltending and poor defense won't win you a Stanley Cup. We're a defenseman or three away from being a real contender (I don't care what our regular season record says). You can't half-ass it for a period or two and then suddenly decide you're going to try to outscore everyone. That doesn't work in the playoffs, and we're finding that out.

It certainly doesn't help us that Poti will be out tonight after taking that puck to the face on Monday.

just like in any sport stopping the other team is a huge part of it, shootouts (not the overtime variety) are no way to take home a championship
