Yeah california is weird. Years back all the hispanic school going kids did a sit out on cesar chavez day to protest against the immigration laws. As you can guess, it turned into an "anybody who opposses open immigration is a racist" stuff.

If you had an american flag and not a mexican flag, you were a racist.

I dont get it, hold a rally in america trying to bring spotlight to the immigration issue but instead of including the american flag in america they were waiving their mexican flag.

The border is 15 miles down the road, if you cant bring yourself to waive an american flag, dont waive your mexican flag in my face expecting me to respect it. In CA and im sure AZ, alot of immigrants feel like they are entitled to more than we the average citizen receive. Really it is the younger generation of hispanics in that part of our country that have unrealistic yet unwavering demands.

My judge used to say that immigrants must embrace and become a working beneficial part of society and not try and form their own little communities exclusive to immigrants while shunning the outside world.

In san diego, there a neighborhoods were stores have signs on the front saying "Yes, we speak american". lol

all this is just my opinion based on my experiences. other people could have the exact same experiences and walk away with a different impression. ive been down to mexico a ton of times, great place if your in the right places.
