It's got to be clear that both parties are at fault if a lockout/strike were to occur. Both sides profit from this enterprise, and both sides profit more now than before the 1987 agreements. Neither side gets to be the good guy if there is a work stoppage, but also doubt it would really hurt the NFL brand that much.

I mean, whatever both sides reasons, bottom line is that it is not good for the NFL. He does make good points.

I completely agree with Ditka's assessment. The owners are not losing money and to be honest I don't see a reason why the owner's will not open up the books for the negotiations with the CBA, unless they have something to hide. I imagine that the 2 sides will come together at the last minute and get the deal done sometime in late Feb or early march.
