When ever I watch this it makes me realize how annoying Theismann is. Could anyone out there imagine how crazy Theismann would be if he played in today's era of twitter, facebook, individual web sites and reality tv?? He'd be out of control.

JT may be annoying but I love the guy at the same time. Can't deny that on the field he gave his all. Love how he got his teeth knocked out but stayed in the game. The guys loved him for that.

That's nothing, think of Joe Namath on Twitter, from bars.

He's one of my all time favorite Redskins and he was one tough SOB. But I can see why rubbed some guys the wrong way. To this day I don't think Sonny will even talk to the guy.

If he had been any less supremely, and possibly inflatedly, confident in his abilities, his height, speed and arm strength limitations may have gotten in the way of an otherwise great career (replete with SB ring and MVP award). To use a today's-era phrase, my boy Joe "kept it real."

Love it .. watched parts of it twice last night .. great story probably the best of all 3 "americas games" for the Skins .. my personal fav part is the chipped tooth of Joey T.

Re: 1982 Washington Redskins

Yeah I DVRed it last night. I am sick today and watched it all this afternoon. This is a real classic for all of us as Skins fans. You had the birth of the Hogs and the Fun Bunch as well as Joe G's first Superbowl. Also the stories of how Joe T. ran practice during the lockout of 82, just amazing stuff. I wonder if current athletes would do the same?

The "We Want Dallas' chants in the divisional Playoff game. The way the Hogs destroyed Dallas's Oline. That was AWESOME as a Skins fan! Talk about pumping you up for week one. MAN the glory days of the NFL and the Skins Dallas rivalry.

Yeah the rivalry today is a joke. Back then I really think there was pure hatred between the two teams. With free agency it's really hard to have it like the old days. I remember when Norv got hired away from Dallas and then brought a bunch of Cowboys with him. That never would've never happened in the old days.
