He's expected to join a work release program upon leaving prison. Though it remains unclear when Plax will be permitted to return to the NFL, Giants GM Jerry Reese said his club will "definitely investigate" a potential re-signing. Don't hold your breath on a quick signing, though. The Giants already have a deep receiving corps, and Plax doesn't play special teams. We still consider him a longshot to play in 2010.

Good for Plax. I hope he gets out and learned his lesson. Now the Giants do not have a deep wr corps. They've got some guys that they've invested high draft picks...Manningham and Nicks but neither has done anything. Also what has Sinorace Moss done in the 4 years he's been there? Nothing. I guess their most productive guy is Smith, good wr but not a true #1. If I were NY I would look into this and see if he's got anything in the tank.
