Re: Plax, Brown, and the draft, oh the possibilities
Maybe make the final two years voidable by him based on playing time and the final two roster bonuses playing time based. Throws him a bone so that if he plays well and stays healthy he can get paid and it helps us mitigate his injury risk. Seems fair to me. Hell if he stays in average health then it is a deal for sure. Fire up Redksin 1 Danny boy. Make it happen.

I am guessing he won't want anything more than a 1 or 2 year deal though.

Plax has character and attitude issues.......
I'm not sold on Brown..........unhealthy........ If these were our choices, I think we need to save our remaining cap room...........

I agree. However, if somehow the price on Brown were to drop, I'd look at taking a chance.

Re: Plax, Brown, and the draft, oh the possibilities
like i said before, performance based incentives. if he stayed healthy the whole year and had a good season, not a great one, that we could give him some p.b.i.'s. if he got injured and missed half the year, i would suggest a little extra money. if he got injured in preseason and missed the whole damn year give him nothing. i heard somewhere that a player can get p.b.i.'s based on how well the defense or offense does. i wouldn't do that in case he got hurt and our defense finished 1st or second overall cuz he would get paid. give him something that says if he gets five sacks, 50 tackles, and 10 tackles for a loss give him an extra two million. that is asking a lot from an injury prone guy.

fiore, barrow, daniels... the list goes on... harris and springs turned out alright, but they aren't on the "totally breaking down" stage of their careers yet... even at 28, this guy might be.
