I'd be ok with $2 million per year as long as the signing bonus was miniscule. I would want to be able to cut ties relatively painlessly in case he ends up being a bust here too.
Give him some more of those unlikely to be earned incentives, like they gave Brunell. They don't count against the cap, from what I understand. Like if he had 10 sacks in a season or something, give him a couple extra million. |
