Now the tourist have taken that over "OBX sticker" and you don't see the locals riding around with those stickers anymore. The funny part is that people who own property down there still want people to know they are "a local" so they still sport those stickers. The locals now suport tourism allot more because they realize it means big$$$$.

That's extremely interesting. I always wanted to know where it came from...

On a side note, I apologize to anyone who has this sticker just because the like it.

It's the people who get CUSTOM freaking license plates that deserve to be called the d-bags.

If you notice most of the custom OBX plates are from VA and thats their way of saying "I live in Va but I actually own a place in the outer banks or go there very often". They are local Want-A-Be.
