Smoot - I have my questions, but I think he could. I'm a Redskins fan, I lack optimism. I didn't see enough last year to go into this coming year with faith in the offense. Could I be wrong? Most certainly. Could I be right? No one on the board wants to think so.
I think he could turn it around, sure. I hope he does, it just shocks me how no one here would even admit his playcalling was sub-par at the end of the season. It was all "on the players." Now people have conceded that playcalling was bad, but I don't see much of a change coming. Hopefully he proves me wrong and stops running an uber conservative offense and opens it up some. I'm not asking for a Spurrier-esque offense. 5-10 more passing plays a game and more effective routes are all I want. I don't think that's outragious. We have a man in Clinton Portis that is hard to stop, but let's back the safeties up. As far as Stephen Davis goes, don't forget his untimely fumbles. |
