Wow.
Eagles placed FB Leonard Weaver on injured reserve with three ligament tears and nerve damage in his left knee, ending his season. He'll need major reconstructive surgery. A useful and highly versatile fullback prior to the injury, Weaver had just signed an extension through 2012 this offseason. Coming off such a serious injury, he won't be brought back at his 2011 salary of $2.5 million, and might be lucky just to play again.
