Re: Chat with Vinny Cerrato

Great insight as to some of the behind the scenes workings with personnel, the cap, free agency, etc.

I've always thougth Vinney hasn't done that terrible of a job. I know there are some nit picky things everyone digs up on him but for the most part I think they are doing a solid job.

Vinny is creepy more than anything and I believe had some salary cap problems in San Fran. I know in DC we have a capologist that looks at stuff like that. However, I hope we go after a WR, he can pick em (Hello TO)

I totally agree. People say Vinny is Snyder's lapdog without having ANY solid factual basis for saying so. I'm not sure how anyone who isn't privy to the inner workings at Redskins' Park can say Vinny is ineffective, an idiot, etc. Snyder's a smart businesman and he's not going to hire someone like Vinny unless the guy brings something to the table.

I've been in the distinct minority for some time on this issue - in defending Vinny. Just so people know, he was with the 49ers for about a decade - the franchise's best decade. True, the 49ers had cap problems after Vinny left, but look at the 49ers in the 1990s. They won the Super Bowl in 1994. They went to the playoffs in in EVERY year from 1990-1998 except 1991. I'd trade cap hell for a Super Bowl victory and playoff appearances in 8 of 9 years. If anyone wouldn't make such a trade, please let me know so I can

I can't believe no one has questioned his atrocious spelling and punctuation.

Re: Chat with Vinny Cerrato

Interesting to see that Gibbs is indeed in charge of football decisions and Snyder does not play as much of a role as some people think, I'm sure the naysayers will find some way to dismiss it. I guess it's up to who you really believe, the media, or straight from the horses mouth with Vinny.

Yes Matty.....glad that Gibbs has the key role in decision making, , did our other head coaches have just as much input, Norv??? Spurrier ??? Or did the decision making change when Joe came aboard. So instead of bashing Vinny we should have been trashing our head coach instead.......

Very interesting and insightful stuff..................and to see what role Snyder plays..............

P.S. If any of you played your boss in raquetball would you have the guts to actually BEAT him?????????????
