Shanny might be up for this, but what about Haslett and that 32nd rated pass defense? You can talk about emotion all day til you are blue in the face, but we have personnel deficiencies that need to be addressed, albeit in an intelligent manner and not this shoot from the hip style.

If we win today people will be talking playoffs again. If we lose, then back to "The Sky is Falling".

Let's not panic? Heyer is playing LT. I say we now officially have the right to panic. Trent Cole will get pressure all day and one big play will be called back on a hold.

We need Trent back in a bad way...
Heyer is actually not doing a terrible job blocking, but his untimely Holding and false starts are killers.

Yeah his blocking was solid but man, the penalties were getting out of hand. How many times did he get flagged? Must have been 3 or 4 at least.

I only remember the two, but I missed the first quarter. I never have panicked, just didn't think we would win today. To be honest, if Vick would have stayed in we might not have.

^^I think he had 1 holding and 2 false starts
flip side he's a back-up LT going against Trent Cole gave up no sacks and the running game was solid

If I remember right he had two holds and two false starts. One hold was inside the 5 yard line the other big penalty was the false start on 3rd and 2 during the clock killing drive.

Yeah, that 3 and 2 false start was appalling....just horrible...how does that even happen...he is a pro...the game was on the line and he cant remember a snap count?...coaching should be all over him for that crap...oh yeah....dont make any excuses for him, this is fundamental.

Yeah, but when Trent is in at LT we have more time to throw deep. This year more then ever I'm learning how deceiving stats can be. Sure Trent gave up two sacks to Super Mario but most of the game he was giving McNabb more then enough time to throw deep and on top of that Mario didn't get any big hits on McNabb. This game however McNabb was running for his life. He was a big part of the reason McNabb had problems completing passes, and also a big part of the reason McNabb channeled 2006 Michael Vick.

As Dirtbag pointed out and I'll second it was 2 holds and 2 false starts. And his blocking isn't bad, aside from the holds. This is kinda par for the course with Heyer though, if I'm not mistaken he had at least 1 hold and a couple false starts against the Rams a week ago. He's not bad at blocking but his penalties always come at crucial moments. I really do believe if he has to go up against Clay Matthews next week Clay will get the better of him.

How many total penalties have the rest of our O-line had? I would guess maybe just 3-4 more than what Heyer has had in the past two weeks. That's pretty embarassing.
