Re: George Washington Women's Basketball Team Makes History
So is he a man downstairs and a woman upstairs? Or is he a man with female parts downstairs? I'm tryin to be pc about this because this is the first instance I've heard of this occuring in sports.
Good luck to him. This isn't that big of a deal to me but I'm sure some might see it a different way. I wonder what the mentality in that locker room is though. This could be the start of something big, like more trans-gender or gay athletes coming out, or it could be like any other time a gay athlete or transgender athlete has come out. I'm sure we'd see more people come out but everybody knows this is a country full of homophobes and it would probably screw things up in the locker rooms too.

I think from reading the article that Allums was born a woman but identifies /herself/himself as a man.
she hasnt undergone masculine hormone treatments b/c it would probably violate NCAA drug rules. so this isnt a big deal imo. she was born a woman and plays on a womans team. now, if Allums was born a man then is trying to play on a womans team, that could get interesting.
