Roger Craig was unstoppable in Techmo Bowl 1.
He was a man among video pixels.

Re: Former Giant Dave Meggett Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison
Its about time the criminal justice system started giving real years of incarceration for sexual offenses.
Not less than 15-20 years ago, rape was a very under punished crime for reasons I still cant figure out. Now, finally, sexual criminals are being put away for time commensurate with the offense.

Re: Former Giant Dave Meggett Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison
Sexual Assualts can destroy lives and families. They are a very serious problem for the victim and the families to deal with the aftermath. Some are never the same. So a punihsment that forever alters the offenders life is very fitting and fair.
I agree with you 100% OTM.

Re: Redskins
I'm glad he didn't use Big Ben's lawyer. Still puzzles me how he got off so easy. Then again...

Re: Former Giant Dave Meggett Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison
I was surprised to read this - - - not because I don't agree with big time sentences for folks convicted or this kind of stuff.
I had heard that a plea deal had been made with the prosecutors that would have given him a MUCH shorter sentence. Obviously, this result indiactes one of two things: 1. That plea deal fell through - or 2. The story I heard was never based in realilty.

Re: Former Giant Dave Meggett Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison
In MD, sentencing is within the sole discretion of the judge.
A judge is only bound to a guaranteed sentence if that judges agrees to it in response to a written request that he/she do so from both parties (St Atty and Def). So while the plea agreement btw the St Atty and Def could have been that the St Atty would recommend 5 yrs incarceration, the judge can give whatever period of incarceration he/she wants under the law. The St Atty and Def counsel can make their proffers to the Court, but the Court is not bound by a sentence agreement unless that Court/Judge agreed to do so in writing before sentencing. Typically, judges in MD dont like giving up their right to fashion sentences.

Here we have the opposite of Meggett in Leonard Marshall, by the way that hit on Montana has to be the best or one of the best hits of all time.
