No way the #1 pick goes for Samuels and Gardner. Not even close. If you add Ramsey and a round 2 or 3 pick next year, you are in the ballpark. I just hope they do not trade Samuels AND #5 to get the rookie.

Now, as far as "Why would they trade Ramsey for the #1?", the reasoning is that they would then take Manning, and still get Taylor #5.

A couple things to remember:
- Gibbs has said over and over, he wants "Redskins" - true team guys
- Bailey would not work with the team in structuring his contract - GONE
- Samuels apparently will not work with Skins on his contract - Gone???
- Also, Samuels cap hit is much higher than any other team member this year AND next year. His play the past 2 years is not even close to that level.
- Gibbs had to see how much better Winey handled left tackle while Samuels was out. MAYBE they believe they can unload a "problem" and develop a player they have now into a good left tackle.
- Right tackle may be more important than left tackle (for this season at least) now that we have a lefty QB.

In any case, this is a GREAT offseason. More interest and excitement than any time since George Allen's first season when he brought about a dozen big-name veteran starters.
