They're one of the cockiest teams in sports. It's not always a vulgar-style of cockiness like the Jets or Steelers, but more of an elitist "we're just better than you" attitude, ESPECIALLY from Brady. That's why it is so satisfying when they lose.

If they were REALLY so great...why has it been 6 years since they've won a Super Bowl?
I really don't think they're cocky. The Jets are cocky. The Pats stay quiet and go about their business, they may stretch the rules here and there but who doens't? And for the life of me I just don't understand why people hate Brady. Is it jealously? By all accounts he's well liked by teammates, he's a hard worker and doesn't talk smack. If he were a Redskin you'd be sniffing his jock.

For years, Brady had such a great O-line, he could finish every game as clean as he started it. Now he's getting abused and it it taking its toll. Last game, he just started collapsing like a rag doll instead of taking hits. He's not that tough of a QB compared to others like Roethlisberger, Rodgers, even McNabb who took a beating and kept playing (wasn't bench for injury). Pretty Boy Brady isn't used to being hit. Belichick is trying to protect him with a short passing game using the slot WRs and RBs a lot, but he's playing behind a poor line and being exposed as possibly a product of a good system and full-time protection. Yes, he's one of the better QBs in the NFL today, but maybe he had a lot of help with his successes.

In fact, I think one of the main reasons the team let Randy Moss go so easily was because Brady just doesn't have the time and protection to let those 50-yard routes develop anymore. They needed to adapt the offense to a shorter, faster-paced game to keep Tom off his back and Randy Moss just wasn't a usable piece anymore. Proof of that is how there was zero drop-off when they let their top offensive weapon (of the past) go. He wasn't an integral part of the offense anymore.
I think it has more to do with the personel of their offense. Randy Moss got old and slower and they drafted two TE's. That's smart coaching, adopting to your personel. Why would they have a bombs away offense (like they did in 07) when they really don't have anyone to stretch the field?

The Pats don't have a poor o-line. If you watched the game Brady had a lot of time, he just held the ball too long cause the Jets smothered their wr's. The Jets simply played a better game. They had a better game plan on both sides of the ball. And the Pats got outcoached. It really doesn't have much to do with Brady being on the downside of his career. The guy still had a MONSTER year with average wr's and TE's. I wish we could get a QB that could put up numbers like Brady did this year.
