I thought this might be the perfect transition for JC to a backup role. He knows the playbook enough that he could step in, but they could easily bring in another guy to be the future. Then JC just stays on as the new Todd Collins and in 8 years he gets traded, plays four games at the end of a season leading his team to the playoffs. Oh the irony.
