Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
I'd love that scenario.
The Raiders deal for a 1st and 3rd would be great.

Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
Does anyone realize that for all the talk of Shanahan being in charge and everything else that our draft is shaping up to be more of a Bruce Allen draft? I mean we pass on Gabbert, get Kerrigan in the first. Now with our second round picks we're being linked to Guards, Centers, and Nose Tackles.
Salary cap expert my ass. BA is a trench drafting machine. And no I'm not complaining. If anything it's a nice direction even though in a sense I'm being dragged kicking and screaming away from wanting to draft a QB. Just hope that we don't stay in QB limbo for to long like Tampa did going with guys like Griese, McCown, and Gradowski. However at the very least we're finally drafting in the trenches and personally I love it.

Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
I have a question for those that would like to see us draft Dalton:
What puts him ahead of Mallett for you? Off-field or on-field issues? Just curious

Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
Damn right, in order to trade up for Andrew Luck! Let's just hope that we can acquire another 2012 1st Round pick and that a team that drafted a QB in the 1st Round this year is thoughtful enough to finish next season with the worst record in the league. Then, we'll be ready to play Let's Make a Deal.

4 year starter vs 2 year starter Junior (Juniors historically are bust) Accuracy is better, though Mallet is much improved in this area Great intangibles. Won't have to worry about him working hard or partying all night Dalton isn't a statue Higher Floor Mallet over Dalton Huge arm Not a ginger Numbers against better competition Higher Ceiling Experience in Pro System

I think if I had to make a choice though, I would take Mallett. He has a franchise qb's skill set imo.

Re: NFL Draft Day 2: Predictions
My ideal Situation (not including if we can possibly trade)
41st - Dalton/Kaepernick 49th - Best Availabe Player on board at either NT, DE, C, RT, RG, RB. If Qb isnt there 41st - Best Availabe Player on board at either NT, DE, C, RT, RG, RB. 49th - Best Availabe Player on board at either NT, DE, C, RT, RG, RB.
