They signed him to that big contract to try and motivate him, but kept the out clause unless McNabb didn't perform better.

Mike's got a pretty good track record with quarterbacks. He's coached two Hall of Famers (Steve Young and John Elway) and has made playoff runs with less than spectacular guys. I trust him to identify talent in that case,
