I hear you on this. I'm not drinking koolaid and thinking that any of the three QBs are the answer, but I definitely think Rex is servicable. I thought he performed better in the offense than McNabb. The defense can really only improve. I guess there will always be hatters and debbie downers...

i certainly dont hope for a 2-14 or 3-13 season but if i had to be realistic and honest in my prediction im thinking we go somewhere around 4-12 or 5-11.

but i dont know much honestly. i usually predict an 8-8 season give or take 1.

i think no matter who we have at qb our passing attack will be good to decent (8th ranked last year), our 30th ranked run game has to improve and i think it will. with OJ and hopefully a healthy LL our 30th ranked pass D has to improve.

theres alot going on here, shanny and allen got to add some more of their guys. haslett got some suitable pieces for the 3-4.

with all that said, theres reason to hope for progress from the 6-10 record last year but we finished the last half of the season 2-6. went 2-4 in the div, our div got better starting talent wise while we added alot of solid and depth guys. we could very well get swept in the div this year.

i really hope things come together in all facets but im hesitant to think it will all click this year. im going to give it another year, more of the right players at the right price. next year i think we can make some noise, this year we our quietly building.

This goes back to my argument thats now practically a rehersed speech.

This is a team that went 6-10 last year with crappy QB play, the 31st ranked defense, and 24th ranked rushing attack.

The O-Line is now very respectable. Jammal Brown is probably healed from his hip injury of a year ago, having a second year Trent Williams is almost like signing a pro bowl caliber player, Will Montgomery now has 2 years of starting experience, Chris Chester is a very solid edition, and Kory L did well at the lines easiest and least important position of LG. Oh yeah Rabach is gone to. Only real problem is depth.

The D-Line has improved 10 fold with the additions of Cofield, Bowen, Neild, and Jenkins. Not to mention the progress made by holdovers Carriker and Bryant.

The team now has a threat opposite Orakpo with Kerrigan and maybe a diamond in the rough with Jackson.

FS is now all but fixed with OJ.

Running back stable much improved

Receivers improved.

QB, only worse in terms of name recognition.

Bottom line both the offense and defense are going into their second years with their respective systems. They also have one of the best coaches in the league.

The overall schedule is easier then last year the only real difference is the toughest games this year are tougher then the toughest games last year (Pats this year over Colts last year).

I'm not saying they're going to the Super Bowl or even making the playoffs but their floor is 6-10 save major major major injuries.

that's what i'm saying... how do you go into the 2nd year of a system with 2 upgrades at the OL, 4 high value (pick/signing) guys in your front 7, major WR/RB upgrades, have everyone else return and be worse?

that makes no sense. i mean i can see QB play keeping us from excelling, or massive injuries derailing the team, but 6-10 seems like the worst we could do.

rex will start, hankerson won't see the field much, kerrigan will figure it out in october, and hopefully we can go QB, OL next draft anyways.
