Re: Cowboys v Chargers Game Thread
I may just move the Bengals ahead of the Panthers for the worst team in the NFL for 2011.
It's going to be a sad day in football if a prospect like that of Luck ends up in Cincinnati. Pretty much will be the death of his career. edit: **** the cowboys. Nice INT there romo!

So far so good!
This kickoff rule is really getting bad already... I get you want to get rid of injuries, but god this is really hurting the game IMO.

Re: Cowboys v Chargers Game Thread
I use to be in a hurry to get back for the kickoffs. However, now I know there will just be another commercial brake to endure. No KO return = 3-5 minutes I could be in the kitchen or bathroom.

Re: Cowboys v Chargers Game Thread
Regarding the KO rule, it was done for the safety of the players but every single player has said that they hate the new rule so hopefully it will be changed back -- really exciting part of the game that has been removed

Re: Cowboys v Chargers Game Thread
the kickoff line was 35 until 94, now it's back to the 35. It was changed in 94 to try to boost scoring. If it wasn't for that & scoring was up, I wonder how long it would've taken to discuss moving it back?
I think it will be fun to watch some guys take it out 8-9 yards deep. I think teams w/good return teams will try to run them out if they can. Of course, many times they won't have the option. I would give Banks (if he's healthy) the green light to run all of them out, our return team should be good again. |
