In other news, looks like Carlos Rogers is being....well....Carlos Rogers. Except now, the new and improved Carlos bounces INTs off his head as well as his hands.

Yeah, and he choked by getting burnt by some Jesse Holle dude. Thank god we don't have him anymore so that he'll bite on a few MORE double moves on Monday Night.

Actually it was Whitner who had the deep coverage and got beaten by Holley.

I believe they both were responsible. They both fell for the play fake. Carlos was absolutely frozen, and of course, Michael Irvin's reality show boy finally produces for the Pukes.

The video looks like Carlos had run contain, and the Safety was supposed to be overtop, and the Safety jumped hard on the run. Hard to say what Carlos' responsibility was from that video.

Nope, as much as people want Rogers to fail it wasn't his fault. He actually had a pretty good game and did some hitting, just ask Witten and Romo.

NFL.com news: Dolphins sign DL Olshansky, CB Jones to shore up defense

Larry Johnson didn't last long.

Assuming the play was symmetrical, the corner on the bottom of the screen was covering the other Dallas WR.

Never mind, 'Los ADMITS IT.

Carlos Rogers takes the blame for 77-yard completion in OT - Inside the 49ers

Quote:
SAN FRANCISCO – On the Cowboys first offensive play in overtime, Romo faked a handoff, looked downfield and noticed a wide open Jesse Holley sprinting down the middle of the field. There were zero Niners defenders near him. Where were they?

After the game, Carlos Rogers explained the breakdown, saying he was at fault. Here’s what he said.

Q: What was the breakdown on that last play in Overtime?

ROGERS: We were in a cover 4. I need to stay deep. They ran the play action towards me. Donte had it right to go down – I needed to be staying deep.

Brooks breaks Romo’s rib, Whitner/Rogers whiff on key play | 49ers Hot Read

By the way, Ahmad Brooks (Perry Brooks son) is the one who broke Romo's rib. Despite Rogers getting burned ( I guess I was wrong) he still had a pretty good game.

I never said he didn't. Choking requires only one bad play. I'd have said he had a bad game if he actually had a bunch of bad plays. Since I didn't watch the game, I cannot evaluate his complete performance.

Has anyone else noticed that dropped Int's are the worse possible thing that can happen on defense. I have no idea what it is about them but it seems to me every time a defense drops an Interception the best they can hope for afterwards is only giving up a third or fourth down conversion. I've observed this phenomenon all the way down to the high school level.

Re: Around The NFL week 2

Not that you guys might care or have not heard but NFL Network basically said they contacted the league and unless it can be proven a player is faking injury nothing can be done.

So..... I thought it would be interesting if every team the Giants play from here on out has someone faint or fall out with muscle cramps on every play. Especially if they are moving the ball well.
