Re: Official Andrew Luck Thread

I wouldn't give up anything for Andrew Luck when you have all these other great options at qb. It's no brainer if we are in position to draft him we take him. However, I see no good reason to trade away multiple high picks for this guy when it's other great qbs in this draft that can get the job done.

I'm not going to lie. I Wouldn't be surprising to me at all, if Barkley And/Or Griffin ended up being better than Luck. I feel like I'm going to be seeing the '04 draft all over again.

(The real question/hope is that Both Barkley and Griffin declare, because I wouldn't be surprised if Barkley stayed.)

All 3 will be great, the system they play in and team talent will dictate their greatness just like Brady vs Manning vs Rodgers.

Andrew Luck is going to be a great qb in this league, but so is Barkley and Griffin. When people start saying that we should trade away mulitple 1st rounders, second rounders, and possibly high profile players for this guy I have to take issue with that. Whichever one of these qbs we draft we need to some talent around them. No one does it by themselves in this league. The reason some guys like Ryan Leaf and David Carr weren't successful in this league is because they got hammered their first couple of seasons which in result shatter their confidence. We just don't need a good qb. We also need a good draft. I say stay where we are and draft the best qb available. If we pick 2nd or 3rd we can get a franchise guy.

I don't thin Barkley or Griffin have anything to come back to college for. Barley have more to lose than gain by coming back. He's going to be the second player drafted. RG3 if he finishes out his last two games on a high note might have put himself in the top ten of this draft. He's been injured two of his four seasons at Baylor. He's going to get his masters, but he doesn't have to stay in college to do so. There is no doubt that both of them will declare for next Aprils draft.

Re: Official Andrew Luck Thread

Luck is a good QB, but the hype on him is overkill. I thought Bradford got overkill last year. Luck's only quality opponents this season(USC, Oregon) made him look above average. If he played in the SEC or Big 10 even, he would get exposed even more. Get RG III, Keenum, or Moore. RG III has turned a Big 12 doormat into a real team. IF AZ was a decent team, I would say take a shot at Nick Foles, but AZ sucks. Too many options at QB to lock onto Luck.

I've been saying this for a while too, Luck is a good QB but I'm not seeing Manning

Re: Official Andrew Luck Thread

At this point, this thread is no longer Redskins related. It is evident by the fine job the Colts have done and will continue to do of sucking for Luck, that Colts management intends to draft Luck #1 and I believe that they will make sure that no other team will be able lose more games then they will. All they have to do is keep starting Curtis Painter at QB.

So, congratulations to the Colts! Your team sucks more than anyone could have imagined it sucking. And not just on the field, but your management has sucked for Luck even more than the team has sucked on the field by not even trying to improve your QB situation since Kerry Collins was injured. You really suck!

Best QB out there is Mat Barkley. Plays in a pro style offense, almost identical to Shannahan's and is pin point accurate, lighting release and great in the pocket or throwing on the run.

Barkley is slightly below Luck due to his physicality (Luck is a physical specimen that can run and punish people), but regardless that is who I want the Redskins to draft if he comes out cause we won't have any chance on Luck. Either one will do.

Barkley is not better than luck. Have you even seen them play?

I've been watching both of these guys for the last few years. I think Barkley is equally as good passing the football as Luck. Luck is more mobile and has better size. However, I believe that Barkley has outperformed Luck this season.

Re: Official Andrew Luck Thread

Maybe this has been discussed, but why is it okay to have a Luck thread, and not a RG 3 thread?

To me.. This thread should be locked as well and we just stick with the QB 2012 thread. Luck might not even come out this year, and RGIII is looking as good if not better then Luck while playing in a stronger conference.
