Re: RGIII Heisman Winner
Obviously there is a lot to like about RGIII and if he wears burgundy next year I will be excited.
But that windup of his still gives me the willies. It's easier to get away with a windup like that in college than in the NFL - just ask Leftwich.

Re: RGIII Heisman Winner
There is nothing wrong with RG3's release. His release is very quick and he has a perfect over the top throwing motion. The only thing that worries me is his footwork at times. He tends to throw off his back foot a lot. However, good coaching can fix that.

Re: RGIII Heisman Winner
I agree. With the "windup", and the spread QB aspect of his college grooming, I find Barkley the more attractive QB prospect over RGIII.

RGIII might have a tendency to drop the ball around hip level when he throws, but his release is quick and I don't think it would be that difficult for the Shanny's to fix it. Look at work out/combine video of Aaron Rodgers, his thowing motion was a mess. A couple years worth of NFL coaching later, and he's arguably the best qb in the NFL. His release is not a reason to pass on him. Luck is clearly out of the question and as good as he more than likely will be, I'm not in favor of going "Ricky Williams" for him |
