Congrats to the G-Men, yal have a good team and a better coach(dripping with envy). Always love watching yal do things we cant to the Cowboys. And nobody gets up off the matt like the Giants, i think Tom Coughlin has a little Burgess Meridith in him, I coud see Coughlin yelling "Get up, get up, and Give me one more round you SOB, cause Mickey loves ya"!!!!! It wouldnt suprise me if G_men made a run at it.

Re: Around the NFL Week 17

I have been on line all day and can't seem to find the following:

Playoff tickets for the Jets
Playoff tickets for the Eagles
Playoff tickets for the Cowboys

Am having trouble because their websites all say they are not available for the 2011 season. I am finding that very difficult to believe since Rex Ryan all but guaranteed a Jets super bowl this year, and the Eagles had a "stellar" off season signing all these free agent players that would help them get to the playoffs and were everybody's pick run the table based on these signings, and the Cowboys, well they are America's team and have Jerry Jones as their owner and Romo as their QB so I just figured it was a given they would be in........

So if anybody out there can please help me find these elusive tickets that nobody seems to have I would appreciate it.

Thanks

G1

Indianapolis Colts fire Bill Polian, Chris Polian - The Early Lead - The Washington Post

Bill and Chris Polian out. I guess his dreams of "empire" are now totally dashed. Luck might fall!!!! Maybe?

If Luck falls past the first pick, I'd definitely look into trading up for him. But only if the Shannies are convinced that he is the qb that would propel this offense to Saints/Patriots/Packer type levels. If the Shannies think we would be able to do just fine with a guy like Tannehill, I'd be fine with that too. All I ask is that Rex Grossman be never referred to as our qb of the present and/or future again. If Grossman starts while the rookie learns, I'd be okay with that. But I'd rather pick up a guy through FA/trade who fits our system to take the reigns while the rookie watches. No big name though, just a serviceable guy to ease the transition.

Not even sure why they were fired. My only issue with the Colts over the past decade have been their defense. It's why Peyton only walked away with 1 title, and the main difference between the Colts and Pats. The Pats have always had a beastly defense, until the past few years.

Much easier to get rid of Peyton that way with a GM that hasn't worked with him and built the whole team around him since 1999.

I suspect it is related to something about moving Peyton Manning to somewhere other than Indy.

You could look at it the other way. Said GM was planning to dump Peyton for a new toy so he could have another 15 years of success on his resume while Irsay believes Peyton should be exempt from being treated as a mere asset.

Why not call the Eagles the "Dream Team" every year from now on? I mean they called the damn Cowboys "America's Team" even when they blow. If that stupid moniker sticks, let's make the "Dream Team" stick even while that trophy case stays empty.

Vinny would draft Justin Blackmon number 1 overall then trade a 2012 2nd round pick and 2013 3rd round pick for Jimmy Clausen. After that he would draft Safety's and Linebackers in the late rounds.
