The problem with Green is the same as with Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky or Joe Montana. When you are the best at your position and more physically gifted than anyone else it's nearly impossible to coach up lesser players. That's why Jason Garrett and Mike Tice, while serviceable players, are better coaches than Troy Aikman or Tony Gonzalez would ever be. IMO, a player like Vernon Dean would be better because he had to rely on technique just to be a serviceable player.

I love Green, but how do you make a statement like that. I am not disputing it, I am just asking what makes you have such a definitive opinion on him.
