NFL Contracts and Arrest Clauses
NFL teams should start putting arrest clauses in these idiots' contracts. If you get arrested & convicted, jail time or not, then you give some money back or your salary is reduced to league minimum for the year. Maybe that will stop some of these jack+**es.

Re: Arrest Clause
Don't be surprised if there are clauses like that already out there. The NFL has obviously contemplated this type of situation (with its conduct policy), I wouldn't be surprised if the teams follow suit in the players' contracts. Total speculation on my part though.

Re: Arrest Clause
So, you think the Skins will be putting a clause like that in the contracts of this years picks? I bet it will be in some shape or form.

MC, Don't rush to any conclusions just yet. People are trying to see 6 months into the future with little to no solid, verified, 100% true information to base such predictions on. We can't tell how the criminal proceedings will turn out, and thus how the league or Gibbs will respond. Still, it's some pretty interesting stuff. |
