But what if he comes in as a rookie and plays like Andy Dalton? Then is his age a huge issue? I mean, a good QB plays through 34-35.

Brees was 33 this year, Brady is 34, Eli is 31, & brother Peyton won his SB at 30, lost one at 33... heck, Elway was 37 & 38 in his SBs... also see Kurt Warner, Brad Johnson, and Rich Gannon.

By my count, he could be at least 6 to 8 year run of good QB play for someone possibly.

I could see Weeden being this year's Dalton for sure.... why not?
Here's my opinion on Weeden. When he went head to head with Andrew Luck the one thing that stood out to me was Weeden actually attempted and completed more NFL throws than Luck. Weeden was shooting lazers deep into the heart of their pass defense. He wasn't going for the easy dink and dunks, or only throwing it down field when the reciever was wide open by a country mile like Andrew Luck did. I really like Weeden and wouldn't be dismayed at all if we decided to take him with a 2nd or 3 round pick.
