I agree with you 100%. For those here who think our team is way too bad to attract manning, or that this team would not benefit much just from adding a quarterback, i say youre out of your minds.

the colts with Manning historically win about 12 games year - no matter who the coach is. manning makes average receivers, average running backs, and below average offensive linemen look GREAT. Receivers, running backs, and tight ends who leave indy never amount to anything. Manning turns his supporting cast into playmakers, not the other way around. Manning, no matter how humble he may seem, knows this. He won't discount a team like washington because we dont have enough "playmakers."

Without Manning, the Colts are 2-14. Without Manning, we are 5-11. Without Manning, we were outscored by our oppenents an average of 3.125 points per game. Think about that. Even with "no receivers," "no offenive line," "a weak running game," and a quarterack who averages atleast 2 interceptions per game at critical junctures, we were within about one field goal from being able to win most of our games. Does anyone here think that, on average, Manning would not atleast give us one more touchdown and one less turnover than grossman per game? even if he's not 100% the manning of old?

Say what you want about our talent and coaching staff, but we are most certainly a better coached and more talented team than the Colts. We have a defense that would not constantly put him in holes, as his defense historically did in indy. In my opinion,if Manning came here, we would be a 12 win team immediately. We could WIN while we groom a young QB for the future. There is ZERO downside to signing a healthy peyton manning. We should do whatever we need to to acquire him.
