No that's not a good plan. If I was going that route, I would have moved on from Doughty, upgraded to a starter, and turned Atogwe into a sub package player who is reliable if he needed to start. Then if the special teams unit requires it, I would roster a fifth safety.

That player would have been Dwight Lowery, Brodney Pool, or Mike Adams, but all are signed now. I also would consider signing a corner and moving him.

Gomes is more than enough of a contingency plan for Landry at this point in his career.
