You cannot expect undrafted free agents to be ready to take over RT position in their second year. That's exactly how not to assimilate RG3 to the NFL. The reason he went undrafted is because he is a major project who needs alot of coaching, practice, etc before he can be depended on. Yes he did all right last year and got great experience but Massie and "the Swartz"(may the Schwartz be with you) are both still better players at even this point and have higher upsides to be full time starters in this league.
