Best Young Talent?
I do this thread every offseason. I like to see what teams are poised to become franchises of the future. What team do you believe is the team of the future? Use any criteria you wish.
I divided my young talent up into two categories, and also combined players that I thought they would have to choose between in my numbering. I chose the patriots, with the only other team coming close being the bengals. The locked in future starters added withing the past 3 seasons include 1.Vollmer/Cannon 2. Soldier 3. Vereen/Ridley/Woodhead 4. Gronkoski 5. Hernandez 6. Hightower 7. Chandler 8. Mayo/Spikes 9. McCourty 10. Dowling (was being a beast before he got hurt) 11 (sort of). Mesko The guys taken within the last 3 seasons that the jury is out on but have a good chance to be good players are 1. Mallett 2. Arrington 3. Chung/Wilson 4. Love For a team that has sucked at drafting since 2006, they killed the last 3 drafts. |

Re: Best Young Talent?
How can they suck drafting sense 2006 if they killed it the past 3 years?

Redskins & general NFL Discussion That said, why not the Redskins?! Wooo....kool-aid bitches!!! Seriously though, I think I'd be reluctant to say the Patriots because some really key pieces to their team are not young by any means

Re: Best Young Talent?
Starting at 2006. They had a 4 year span where they had 39 picks...10 of which in first two rounds. They amassed 2 starters and only 5 players that will be on the 2012 New England Patriots. That's pretty bad. It's after that they started to do pretty well. And considering they had 27 total picks- 10 pick in the first two rounds, and 14 in the first 3...it really not overly impressive.
This is has nothing to do with the redskins...unless you think the redskins should be on this list. This is also a site for general nfl discussion. |

Best young Talent:
Any team with a young Franchise QB. You can find those other pieces but it's rare to find a young franchise QB. |
