Also reducing funding for education is the real world equivalent of trading draft picks for over the hill veterans. I mean sure that bodes well for me if the upcoming workforce isn't properly educated but eventually it's going to kill us in the global economy where many of the countries we're competing with are investing in education and as a result putting through a more qualified and talented work force. And we wonder why companies want to outsource? In general I agree with a lot of the fiscal things the GOP is trying to do but like many things in life they shouldn't go unchecked.
