Re: Who will have the best season?
How about our main man Chris Cooley, does he count?
I'm also one of those in the "this is Taylor Jacobs' year to blow up!" camp. Remember how Porter exploded for all those touchdowns a couple of years ago with the Raiders? I see the same happening with Jacobs. He may not get a lot of receptions but he'll make the most of the ones he does get.

Overall I think our passing game has made improvements, but do I see us bombing pass after pass like Brad Johnson to Westbrook and Brad Johnson to Connell in 1999? No. We're still going to be a run-first team. These new WRs are here to help keep 8 men out of the box, that's their job first and foremost. I don't see lots of catches for Moss, Patten, or Jacobs; so it's hard for me to envision 1000 yards for any of them. What will drive our offensive success this year will be Yards Per Catch and Yards Per Carry stats. I think that even though Moss may catch only 50 balls, if he gets 800-900 yards on the season, we'll have a productive offense, as long as Portis is back to 4.5 yards per carry. 50 balls with 900 yards spells big plays. And if we can keep the ball moving on the ground a bit better this year, that should be all we need given our strong defense. Remember we don't need miracles on offense. We just need progress. |

Re: Who will have the best season?
I think Taylor Jacobs is going to be the surprise of the NFL this year. I do believe Coles will have some sort of "rebirth" in a Jets uniform, because I honestly don't believe he ever wanted to leave NY to begin with.
Gardner won't be extremely impressive, but will have a decent year because he's in a new place.

Re: Who will have the best season?
Coles will re-aggravate his toe and will be severly limited, if not on IR by the middle of the season. Gardner will perform well but not spectacularly for his new team. Moss will be a decoy. Jacobs, Patten, and Cooley will put up the TDs (except for Porti's rushing TDs). Jacobs outperforms them all in scoring TDs.
