I didn't think the refs were as bad in week 1 as they were last week.
My biggest problem is how they have no control. The players know this and keep pushing things to see how much they can get away with. Plus there's no consistency. With the regular refs sure they weren't perfect, but with the replacement refs they call things they shouldn't and miss the obvious calls. The speed of the game is clearly too much for them and I don't see them improving much in the short term. The regular refs have been doing this for years. It's not something you just get up to speed with in a matter of weeks. |
